Description
The Atkins-Johnson Farm rests on 22 acres of farmland in the heart of the suburban community of Gladstone Missouri. The site provides diverse educational opportunities, programs, and events related to both local and state history. The non-profit group "Friends of the Atkins-Johnson Farm" which promotes awareness and fundraising opportunities supports the museum throughout the community. Annual events held at the farm include the spring bonnet festival and summer country fair. Volunteer opportunities are available in the areas of research, event assistance, fundraising, costumed tour guides, cemetery investigation, and educational/school tour leaders.
