Mission Statement

The GSC's purpose is to foster environmental education, to preserve biological diversity, and to conserve and manage natural resources in the Oneida Lake and Lake Ontario Watersheds.

Description

The Great Swamp Conservancy is the only nature center in Madison County, NY. We have a few major fudnraising events each year which are environmentally-centered, and many different weekend environmental education programs. We have a demonstration area for habitat management, and approximately five miles of well-kept trails. The GSC is open to the public from dawn til dusk.
