The mission of the RCSC is: * to alleviate the suffering of Refugee Claimants through responding to their needs * to foster community understanding of Refugee Claimants * To ensure that Refugee Claimants retain decision-making power in their lives * To provide a place for all involved to learn and expand community development skills * To promote multiculturalism * Networking

Description

The RCSC is the only organisation of its kind in Queensland. It provides support to community-based asylum seekers in the form of: English tuition, information and referral, employment assistance, social activities, computer tuition, emotional support and emergency relief (food, transport, accomodation and health care).
