Mission Statement

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide free year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with developmental disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Description

The 2005 A.G. Edwards Golf Classic is a fundraising event benefiting Special Olympics programs in the greater Sacramento area. The goal of this event is to bring together participants from throughout the business community to promote friendship and fitness while raising funds and awareness for local Special Olympics programs. In addition to a full day of competition and camaraderie, there will be a silent and live auction, prize raffle, contest holes, awards banquet, a variety of food and drinks and a number of other unique activities.
