The United Methodist Churches of Northern Illinois are reaching into the community and going into service on August 11, 2012 to provide children the necessities they need to get the school year off to a great start. We are inviting you to join our efforts.

Description

The Seeds to Succeed "Back to School" event is planned for Saturday, August 11, 2012. The goal is to kickoff a positive, successful school year for the children in our area! We will be collecting school supplies to fill backpacks such as pencils, wide-ruled notebook paper, glue sticks, crayons, markers, etc.


We are reaching out to communities in the Chicago, Elgin and Rockford areas to spend the day in service working on projects including: painting, gardening, and cleaning up schools and playgrounds.
We are also taking a stand against bullying by offering resources and workshops for parents and their children.
