Mission Statement
New Horizon School exists to provide a successful learning environment for students with learning disabilities, attention deficits, or other learning differences so that those students are able to maximize their individual academic, social, emotional, and behavioral potentials.
Description
Ten faculty and five staff members serve approximately 72 students aged 11-18 in grades 6-12. Students' learning differences include learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, communication disorder, nonverbal language disorder), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Asperger's Syndrome. Programs include planning for transition to adult life and extracurricular activities such as Ski/Snowboard Club and Archery. Contract services for academic or cognitive testing, speech and language therapy and mental health counseling are available on campus
