Mission Statement

The Ranch’s mission is to reach the next generation by providing a safe and loving environment for children of all ages to reach their full potential. Our main goal is to change lives by building character and self esteem with a focus on the children understanding their individual and collective value.

Gateway to Life Ranch will be located on Grayton Road in Ohatchee, Alabama. This 20 acre location is ideal for meditation, enjoyment and spiritual healing. The ranch will offer summer camps; retreats for Churches and other organizations; day trips for schools; afterschool facilities; mentoring programs; and leadership programs for the larger communities. The ranch will be equipped with a Chapel, a dining hall, a recreational room and overnight accommodations for up to 50 children and their chaperones. Activities include horseback riding, fishing, swimming, canoeing, tag football, basketball, soccer, etc.

The ranch will be a faith based environment with a focus on ministering to the spiritual needs of the children and their families. The children will enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and cabins that are specially designed by the founder of the ranch.

The overall purpose of the Ranch is to reach the next generation while creating a gateway where children can find new beginnings. The Ranch will be used to serve all children. However, our target population will be children that are economically disadvantaged and/or at risk.

The ranch is expected to officially open in 2012. Each program will be put in place at a rate that is consistent with the needs of the community and the Ranch's ability to offer each program. We are excited to announce that the ranch will be starting a Mentoring Program for young boys and girls starting in the Fall of 2011. This program will run throughout the building phase and will be a fixed program after the official opening.
