Mission Statement

The Viso (pronounced vee-sow) Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that supports disadvantaged/underserved young people in Sierra Leone through education and empowerment. Since 2005, our organizations' purpose has been to reach school going teenagers, and expose, motivate, challenge, and enlighten them, so that they can thrive in all areas of their lives, and have a better future.

Description

In Sierra Leone, many young people lack basic educational skills, as well as positive and essential role-models, resources, and opportunities to help them succeed in life. To combat these issues, we invest in the whole child. We provide youths with vital resources, encouragement and exposure through a variety of classes and activities to help broaden their views, increase their confidence and self-esteem, make them well-rounded, and in turn create positive and sustainable change in their communities. We believe that that all young people no matter their circumstances, deserve a opportunity to advance in life. All they need is someone to invest in them to make this happen.
