Mission Statement

MRCN is a nonprofit organization that works to enhance citizen stewardship of the Missouri River and its communities by effectively educating and informing the public about best resource management practices, and by mediating among differing river-stakeholder interests.

Description

Our goal is to preserve and restore the historic, cultural and natural resources of the Missouri River and its surrounding communities, and to engage citizens in these endeavors. To this end, MRCN organizes local cleanups, educates the public about the river and its history, saves the personal histories of the river's residents, and encourages historic and eco-tourism in the lower Missouri River region.
