Mission Statement

The Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA is dedicated to the protection, humane treatment, and well-being of all animals. This is accomplished through our commitment to community outreach, humane animal treatment education, and prevention of cruelty to animals. CGHS/SPCA does not euthanize animals due to space constraints and receives no federal, state, or county funding.

Description

Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA helps over one thousand animals every year through our adoption and cruelty intervention departments. Our services to the community include low cost feline spay/neuter clinics, nail trimming clinics, community pet food bank, municipal stray dog housing, youth program, New Leash on Life Prison Program, community outreach and humane education programs to name just a few.
