Mission Statement
The New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, a symphony orchestra, was founded in 1988 to bring interesting orchestral music played at the highest level by a volunteer organization to the public at low cost.
Description
The New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble is a volunteer amateur orchestra based on Manhattan's Upper East Side that presents five concerts per season. We are a diverse group in terms of age, profession, nationality, and ethnicity. Performing at the Julia Richman Education Complex (317 E. 67th Street), for a suggested donation of $15, NYSAE provides low-cost, high-quality classical music concerts to neighborhood residents on Sunday afternoons. Our concerts feature the standard symphonic repertoire, lesser known works, and contemporary compositions. Our featured soloists range from internationally-known musicians to promising young students from the local conservatories. More information is available at www.nysae.net.
