Mission Statement

The League for Animal Welfare is the first established, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter in the Greater Cincinnati area, and our mission is to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati by providing a compassionate no-kill animal shelter and programs that promote responsible pet care.

Description

The League for Animal Welfare is located on 21 wooded acres just 3.5 miles east of I-275 off the Batavia/Eastgate exit. Our shelter normally houses about 40 dogs and up to 100 cats in spacious indoor/outdoor dog runs and bright cat rooms.

The League also has a mobile adoption RV which not only facilitates off-site adoption events but also participates in parades, etc.
