Mission Statement

The Interchurch Council meets basic needs and helps individuals and families achieve their goals. We provide shelter, food, direct services, advocacy and information to people in need. We accomplish this through strong partnerships with volunteers and those we serve. We rely on the active involvement of caring individuals, congregations and other community organizations.

Description

The South Brunswick Council (SBIC) is the collegial effort of 20 local churches that covenanted together since 1985 in accordance with the belief that God calls us all to work together.

The South Brunswick Interchurch Council is a powerful tool for outreach in the community and serves an area reaching from the South Carolina border to approximately Supply.

We address issues of community concern from the perspective of our faith and we help to meet the needs of the citizens in our own community and beyond.

The Council meets monthly at Shallotte Presbyterian Church in Shallotte, N.C.
