Description

The Nicodemus Wilderness Project (a 501(c)(3) publicly-supported nonprofit organization) was founded because of the need for environmental restoration, stewardship, and protection of neglected public lands. Our organization coordinates volunteer events worldwide that utilize the resources of the community to provide long-term environmental benefits for natural areas. We have established a large and enthusiastic volunteer network that draws upon the diverse strengths of different races and cultures to accomplish our common goal of restoring the beauty of the natural landscape. By working together with our community, the Nicodemus Wilderness Project educates our youth about the need to protect the integrity of the environment by promoting stewardship of the wild lands and waters that support Earth's biodiversity and ecosystems.

i enjoy volunteering with environment organizations afiliated with the GSP, and this seems like one that is relevant to those efforts

I would hope anyone would be interested in volunteering for this organization. I love the wilderness and my dad works in forestry. I have been taught a lot over my 25 years about the wilderness, I practically grew up in it. I love animals, wild life, nature, anything with life really. This is very important and dear to me and I am very interested. I would love to help other people get interested and know why this is so important.

I think that condition of Nature is the most important issue that must be acted on. If we neglect the reality of the problem, it will be to late and Earth's beauty and resources will be gone. following this will be chaos; all living things struggling to survive with little to no resources.

yes, because I think this is an interesting project that can help warming the protection of our environment. I would like to recommend this project just because I want to be the part of this project, and help all of us to have a better understanding of protecting our environment, and how important of protecting it.

It is so important to take care of our wildlife and environment. If we don't, it will not be here for our children. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for them. After all, this world is thier's as much as it is ours, and if I'm not mistaken I do believe the wildlife and their habitats where here long before us.

Although I am new to this organization, I am glad that i found it and that it will help me grow more and more compassion throughout my life. I will work with less fortunate people and help to educate them. I decided to look for an organization such as this, after seeing the tough life for most folks in the Philippines. It was definitely a reality check for myself to see the hardships of others. I want to give back to my community in thanks for the many blessings I am fortunate enough to have.

I will recommend this organization without a doubt to many friends of mine because after being showed horrible animal torture videos on the internet, i felt that i should find away to stop the mistreatment to animals, and finally i have found an organization nearby that works with the environment and helps the wildlife in it.

As a longtime volunteer of the Nicodemus Wilderness Project, I've always been very impressed with the quality of NWP youth volunteers and their dedication to restoring our environment. The volunteer staff at NWP responds to each and every inquiry received (re: comment by Dave B., make sure to check your junk/spam folders and add NWP to your list of trusted senders) and helps mentor young people in the planning, organization, and development of their own environmental stewardship projects. What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is seeing the transformation of a youth volunteer into a community leader when they take the initiative to conduct their own environmental project. The winning partnership between NWP and youth volunteers is making a real difference in communities around the world, one project at a time.

I think they could be better run. For example, nobody replied to my email that I sent to the email address on their web site. It would be nice if they gave some kind of response. I wish them well in the future.
