Mission Statement

North Hills Community Outreach is a non-profit organization addressing the needs of people in crisis, hardship and poverty in northern Allegheny County.

Description

NHCO provides more than twenty services and programs to help those in need in northern Allegheny Country. We could not accomplish our mission without the help of hundreds of generous and caring volunteers. Below are a few of our programs

Services For Seniors
A variety of services that help older adults in our community live healthy and safe with dignity at home. Services include home safety checks, yard work, shoveling snow, friendly home visits, telephone reassurance calls and rides on our Free Rides for Seniors Shuttle.

Food Pantry
NHCO operates three food pantries in Northern Allegheny County, including Allison Park, Millvale and Bellevue. We provide food to nearly 700 families each month. One visit a month provides approximately five days of food.

Sharing Projects
NHCO holds various collections throughout the year, then distributes the donated goods to those in need. Some of our distributions include back to school supplies, holiday toys and winter coats.
