Mission Statement
The Capital Area Vaccine Effort is the only organization of its kind dedicated to serving as a bridge between the public and the end goal of an effective HIV vaccine. By leveraging the time, talent and treasure of everyday District-Area Citizens, we're building momentum toward preventing and ending HIV both here in the DC-Area and around the world. Vaccine Effort's vision is the empowerment of all people in that quest. The Capital Area Vaccine Effort shall harness the power of people as educators, watchdogs and advocates of the DC Metropolitan Region in regards to HIV vaccine volunteerism, activism, testing and research.
