Description

City Year is a national youth service not-for-profit organization, under the Americorps umbrella, that unites young adults, ages 17 to 24, from all backgrounds to make a difference in the lives of children.

Throughout the 20 locations in the United States and South Africa, corps members serve as near-peer tutors and mentors in schools, facilitate before and after school curriculum, conduct a Saturday leadership development and community service program, as well as transform communities by implementing various physical development projects.
