Mission Statement

Heroes Coming Home works to provide safe and adequate housing for the Homeless Veteran. It is the mission of Heroes Coming Home to provide housing not only to benefit our "Homeless Heroes," but to also benefit their families and communities with the ultimate desire to vastly improve the quality of life for our homeless Veterans as our Heroes transition to a happy, healthy, and productive civilian life.

Description

Heroes Coming Home is governed by a Board of Directors made up of retired and former military members. We provide housing, additional housing resources and a technical assistance center for a national network of local community housing service providers, along with state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless Veterans each year.

Heroes Coming Home is dedicated to aiding those less fortunate veterans who have served their country diligently, faithfully, honorably and are homeless or classified as a homeless Veteran by the Veterans Administration definition and guidelines for homelessness. Established in the Heart of America, we support those less fortunate veterans who have helped maintain our freedom as we know it. Our hope and the ultimate goal is to be able to help get the Veteran back on their feet and to start their lives with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.
