The Rushman-Micah Angel Foundation (RMAF)mission is to fund technological tools for special needs and at-risk children/youth to empower them to lead a lifestyle of independence and creativity.
The goal of the Rushman-Micah Angel Foundation is to help southwest Florida youths reach their their educational/literacy fullest potential through the use of adaptive/digital technology tools and the creative multi-disciplinary arts.
RMAF operates in Collier and Lee counties to primarily provide IT software and hardware, adaptive equipment, computers and training for special needs and at-risk youth with disabilities, whether they are cognitive, physical or mentally challenged.
Primary goals include:
*RMAF learning without borders initiative will provide IT learning devices and IT tools/adaptive software and/or hardware, I-pads, laptops for special needs student to use exclusively at home/after-school.
*RMAF will identify students who meet need guidelines through schools referrals, social services, physicians, help-line, hospitals and referrals.
*RMAF will advocate for special needs and at-risk children and young adults (ages 4-24) in our community providing peer support, information, educational training/workshops and mental health needs information/referrals.
*RMAF will provide therapeutic recreational camps/clinics including basketball, baseball, referee skills to special needs and at-risk youth hosted by local and professional athletes.*RMAF will disseminate information and provide a forum for families on best practices of technology within the special needs community.
