Mission Statement

The Salmon Protection And Watershed Network (SPAWN) works to protect threatened coho salmon and steelhead and the environment on which we all depend. We use a multi-faceted approach including grassroots action, habitat restoration, policy development, environmental education, media campaigns and litigation.

Description

The Goals of SPAWN * Protect and restore endangered salmonid populations and watershed ecosystems; * Advocate for sustainable policies to protect streams and habitats; * Organize local and national grassroots pressure to watchdog government agencies and participate in habitat restoration programs; * Provide local landowners with information on how to properly manage adjacent properties; * Monitor major development and water projects to ensure no adverse impacts on endangered salmonids; *
