Alexander Hamilton Scholars strives to close the opportunity gap for high achieving, underserved youth by providing a comprehensive network of support and practical guidance to help them successfully transition from high school to college and beyond.
Each year, Alexander Hamilton Scholars select 35 to 40 high school juniors nationally to join our program based on financial need, demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to service, and leadership potential. Through the Hamilton Leaders Academy, Scholars complete a rigorous 3-year program designed to provide them with practical tools for success in college and the post-college world. Hamilton Scholars provides support and guidance to underserved students by helping them earn a college degree and build purpose-driven lives. Eighty percent of our Scholars come from low-income families, with 100% earning admission to academically selective colleges and 98% graduating within five years.
This is accomplished through a three-year curriculum focused on five main areas of emphasis: Transition, Heritage, Financial Literacy, Empowerment, and Leadership. Our goal is to provide our Scholars with mentorship and support through life’s transitions so that they, in turn, can make great contributions to our nation and our world.
