Mission Statement

Greccio Housing's mission is to "provide stable, safe, affordable housing, and to create supportive opportunities and services for our residents to enhance their individual growth."

Description

Founded in 1990 by a former Franciscan nun, Greccio Housing is a charitable organization that provides affordable rental housing options and skill-building services to low-income individuals, seniors, veterans, and families in the Colorado Springs community each year. Our primary goal is to prevent the risk of homelessness or eviction by providing affordable rental housing options at below-market-rate rents and by ensuring that residents are not cost-burdened with housing expenses. Because our unique model provides residents access to safe, stable, and supportive affordable housing while also engaging them in a variety of necessary skill-building resources and opportunities, Greccio’s services are depicted in a dual-branch model consisting of Greccio’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) and the Resource & Opportunity Center (R&O).
