Mission Statement

The mission of CASA of Johnson County is to speak out for abused and neglected children in court proceedings so that they can be permanently placed in a safe, nurturing environment as quickly as possible.

Description

Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, able to pass a thorough background check, and complete 30 hours of training. Volunteers act as advocates for abused children in foster care and work closely with CPS, foster parents, judges, and the abused children to ensure those children will never again have to suffer abuse or neglect.
