Mission Statement
Serving those in need and building community by sharing our surplus fresh fruits and vegetables from the backyards of Orange County and encouraging the development of a robust local food system.
Description
Would you like to have fun and help feed the hungry as well? Join The Harvest Club!
We organize volunteer teams to harvest excess fresh fruits and vegetables from residential growers and donate the food to the underserved in our community. This provides fresh, healthy food options to the hungry while reducing backyard food waste.
With ample sunshine, rich soils and a year-round growing season, we can provide fresh food to our neighbors in need in Orange County. By being a part of The Harvest Club, you can contribute to alleviating hunger and improving nutrition in our community.
If you’re interested in being a part of our harvesting team, or if you’re a homeowner with more fruit or veggies in your backyard than you know what to do with, please visit our website at www.theharvestclub.org to register as a grower or volunteer!
The Harvest Club is a program of the OC Food Access Coalition, a fiscally sponsored project of OneOC.
