The Third Annual OptimisSport Distance Swim Challenge is a unique open-water endurance event on August 19, 2012 bringing together individuals, friends and teams of all ages and skill levels. This year participants swim to raise funds for local charities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle for both children and adults.
The 2012 OptimisSport Distance Swim Challenge offers a Kids Splash, a 500m "anything goes" Fun Swim and 7 distance events, including: 1.2-mile, 2.4-mile, 4.8-mile, 10k and 12.6-mile individual races, and a 4.8 or 12.6-mile relay. With multiple starting points between Manhattan Beach and Venice, all races finish in historical Venice Beach.
