Mission Statement

Camden Healthy Start is a federally-funded initiative directed by the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Camden in cooperation with many health and social service partners. Healthy Start promotes community-based, culturally competent, family-centered, comprehensive perinatal care to pregnant women, infants and their families.

Healthy Start funding supports programs and interventions to address gaps in care that contribute to high infant mortality rates. When added to existing services, these new and expanded programs create the type of comprehensive, seamless delivery network that saves lives.

Our goals are to help

• Moms have healthier pregnancies and babies
• Keep families and children health and strong
• Mothers and fathers become better parents
• Families set and achieve goals for better lives
• Families become independent and successful
