Description

HOPE Ministries is a non-profit in North Baton Rouge. Our mission is to prevent homelessness, promote self sufficiency and dignity. We have a large food pantry as well as programs that help people become independent and reduce dependence on government assistance. HOPE is one of the largest distribution points for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in the 70805 zip code area, which has the largest concentration of poverty in East Baton Rouge Parish.

We welcome individual and group volunteers for various positions, both short and long-term. This is a great opportunity to make a direct impact on the community. Some volunteers positions are required to have a background check and all volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation.

HOPE Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a Capital Area United Way member agency with voluntary Standards for Excellence certification through the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
