Mission Statement

Label GMOs is a community by community outreach program to educate consumers about their Right to Know what is in their food. Phase one was gathering registered voter's signatures to place this important initiative on November's ballot. Phase two is to educate the voters throughout the state of California and gather endorsements from organizations that support this important food issue. Voting yes in November to LabelGMO's will bring more awareness to safeguarding our food supply and our health.

Description

LabelGMOS and the CA Right To Know have combined efforts with grassroots coalitions of volunteers, consumers, health professionals, farmers, environmental organizations and food companies in California that are seeking the labeling of genetically engineered foods (GMOs).

We have a right to know what is in our food and genetically engineered foods have not been labeled or tested in the U.S., even though these foods have been selling at grocery stores for almost two decades. European and Asian countries require labeling GMO from American food manufacturers but these same manufacturers would rather pay for separate labeling than to disclose what the ingredients actually are to Americans. We have a Right to know what is in our food and Americans deserve accurate information so we can make the best chioces.
