A community where everyone has access to dental care.
To provide preventative and restorative dental services, along with oral health education, to contribute to the overall health of low wage-earning adults in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
- To improve and maintain the oral health of our patients,
- To provide oral health education, and
- To link patients with other community resources -- like medical and behavioral health services, housing and food assistance, and career guidance-- to enhance their lives.
HealthLink’s dental program currently operates with three dental suites with x-ray machines, high speed autoclave, prepackaged instruments, hand tools, compressor, and dental supplies. With the transition to providing solely dental care, the clinic intends to expand the dental operation as the need and patient population grows.
In 2014, the dental clinic provided 784 dental hygiene appointments, 484 fillings and tooth restorations, and 181 exams for new patients.
The small staff was aided by the help of more than 60 volunteers donating 5,243 hours of their time to support HealthLink’s mission.
The newly expanded dental clinic at HealthLink will provide a variety of dental services to eligible patients. To qualify for free care, adults must: live in Bucks or Montgomery counties, be currently employed, and have a household income of less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. (A single person living alone would qualify if they earn less than $29,425 per year.) Proof of meeting these requirements is required at your first appointment.
