Mission Statement

Childhelp exists to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children. We focus our efforts on advocacy, prevention, treatment, and community outreach.

Childhelp's approach focuses on prevention, intervention and treatment. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD , operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and receives calls from throughout the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Childhelp's programs and services also include residential treatment services (villages); children's advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes; child abuse prevention, education and training; and the National Day of Hope , part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month every April.

Would you recommend Childhelp?

by Janet W. from Phoenix, AZ (Administrator for this Organization) (May 9, 2015)
The Childhelp organization was founded by two of the most amazing women who have dedicated their adult lives to protecting children across the country for the last 55 years. The commitment and love for children is the driving force behind the organization's success. The people at Childhelp truly want to do everything possible to protect innocent children from the trauma and horrors of child abuse. The time and resources of volunteers are not without notice by the leaders at Childhelp. They are so grateful and appreciative for the smallest efforts of support. Childhelp is such a rewarding place to volunteer, because you can feel and see the impact one person can make. Even with an organization as large as Childhelp, your efforts are valued and acknowledged.
