Mission Statement

The main fundraising event of the Foundation is "Play for Maeve" which takes place each summer in our neighborhood park. This year the event will be held on Saturday, August 4 , 2012. Over 1,800 people attend this event each year with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Memorial Hospital’s pediatric brain tumor research program, in hopes that one day our help will lead to a cure for this disease. To date, this fundraiser alone has raised over $500,000 to help fund this program.

Description

Other areas of support have included making an $25,000 donation to Hope Children’s Hospital, which was used to fund construction of a Ronald McDonald House located near the hospital and over $15,000 which has been forwarded to local families that have children suffering from brain tumors or pediatric cancer, to be used in helping pay for medical bills or to just provide for some of their daily needs.
