Mission Statement
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestraâ  s mission is to provide programs of the highest artistic quality for its audiences. WCO performances should entertain, inform and enrich the quality of life in diverse local and regional audiences. In executing its mission, the WCO is committed to: â ¢Increasing the awareness of, and support for, music written for chamber orchestra â ¢Expanding the Masterworks series of classical performances â ¢Preserving and enhancing Concerts on the Square â ¢Developing music appreciation at an early age â ¢Enhancing community celebrations and holidays with orchestra performances â ¢Providing outreach programs to serve more constituents and communities â ¢Exploring opportunities to collaborate with other artists and organizations.
Description
Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, a resident of the Overture Center in downtown Madison, provides numerous programs througout the year. Our Concerts on the Square attract tens of thousands of people on Wednesday evenings in the summer. Our Masterworks concert series showcases both well-known guest artists and our own talented musicians under the direction of Maestro Andrew Sewell. We pride ourselves in being a warm, approachable organization that continually looks forward. Our performances are fresh, entertaining, and accessible to all. Come Join Us!
