To cure and prevent Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is committed to eradicating two life-changing and potentially life-threatening chronic digestive diseases. Collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), these illnesses affect over 1.5 million Americans, including more than 125,000 people in the 9 counties our chapter serves. Throughout the year CCFA hosts special events to fulfill its mission to find cures by funding cutting-edge biomedical research, and to provide support through hospital visitations, the Power of Two mentorship program, support groups, patient and professional educational programs, and a summer camp for our children with IBD.
