Mission Statement

The mission of Blue Water Hospice is to provide a coordinated program of care to the terminally ill that is patient and family centered. This care incorporates the spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs of the patient and family.

Description

Hospice is a philisophy of care designed to meet the needs of the terminally ill patient and their family. Hospice makes it possible for the terminally ill patient and their loved one to spend their final months together in their own home or alternative residence. Hospice provides support, physical care and expertise in pain and symptom control so the patient can attain the best quality of life. Patients whose life expectancy is measured be six months or less is eligible for Hospice services. After death, we provide ongoing hope and support for the family of the patient.

Bue Water Hospice services are provided by a highly skilled team composed of Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Home Health Aides, Homemakers, Volunteers, Chaplain, Bereavement Couselors, Dietician and Therapists (occupational, physical, speech, music, massage and art)
