Mission Statement

Empowering Latinx immigrants to enhance the social and economic health of the community and its people; and to hold institutional decision-makers accountable to the community.

Description

The mission of La Colaborativa, previously known as Chelsea Collaborative, is to provide support and interact with the needs of the community. The survival and mobility of the Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Revere, and East Boston community and its residents has been at the forefront of all our efforts. We have been, and continue to be, involved with policy reform that affects many of our undocumented families, we provide summer employment to youth, advocacy, citizenship and ESOL classes, and workforce development. Our goal is to empower Latinx and immigrants to become educated and economically stable to gain mobility in the workforce and in society. Trust between our organization and the community is a core part of what we do to effectively respond to the needs of our community and its people.
