Description

Oshkosh Chamber Singers is a non-profit organization with volunteer singers from the Oshkosh and surrounding Fox Valley area. The organization has just completed its 26th year of performances. A typical seson includes three performances and consists of a season kickoff at the end of October, the annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in the weeks preceeding Christmas at the historic Trinity Episcopal Church, and the Spring Concert that tends to feature major choral works with full orchestra. Some of the Major choral works OCS has recently performed includes Brahms A German Requiem, Orff's Carmina Burana, Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor, Bach's B Minor Mass, and Verdi's Requiem. The choir also does a wide variety of small choral works from all periods and countries. The choir has been led from its inception by Dr. Carl Chapman and Accompianist Marianne Chaudoir.
