Our Mission The mission of The Saturday ScholarsÃ Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Program Foundation, Inc. is to BE A Part Of The Solution to the United State of AmericaÃ Â Ã Â¢Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â s lofty educational goal of Ã Â Ã Â¢Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â No Child is Left BehindÃ Â Ã Â¢Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â by mentoring, nurturing, motivating, tutoring and being role models to all children.
The Saturday Scholars Program is a holistic, free tutoring and mentoring and motivational program made up of caring individuals (adults and students) who volunteer their time to help students: Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â·Who are having problems in class Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â·Who feel they could benefit from the one-on-one instruction that tutoring and mentoring provides Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â·Who simply want to excel further in their studies Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â Ã Â·In addition to being free, the Saturday Scholars Program bundles tutoring, mentoring, nurturing, and motivating. It mainly targets elementary and middle/junior high school students. High school and college students are invited to participate as mentors/tutors, and will receive community service credit for each Saturday. note: After 12 successful years in the school library setting, Saturday Scholars is moving in the public libraries.
