Mission Statement

Mission: To create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy.

Vision: A world where all preventable brain injuries are prevented, all unpreventable brain injuries are minimized, and all individuals who have experienced brain injury maximize their quality of life.

Description

The Brain Injury Association of Montana (BIAMT), founded in 1987, serves by Montanans affected by brain injury. We are celebrating 25 years of service at our annual conference in August 2012.

BIAMT offers free state-wide services that help individuals and families. During the past six years the BIAMT staff have had the opportunity to serve 1,221 Montanans living with brain injury through the Resource Facilitation Service; a 24 month follow up system of support, resources, and advocacy. The BIAMT helps people understand what’shappening to them or to a loved one, get re-training and support, and navigate medical and social systems. Approximately 200 Montanans enroll in this service annually.
