Mission Statement

It is the mission of Mt. Hood Hospice to provide an independent, community-based program of care for terminally ill patients and their loved ones that emphasizes dignity, comfort and choices for quality of life, regardless of the ability to pay.

Description

Mt. Hood Hospice is a not-for-profit, community based agency providing physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual support to the terminally ill and their families. Mt. Hood Hospice provides service to patients and their families in East Multnomah and Clackamas Counties without regard to age, race, creed, diagnosis or ability to pay. Hospice care is usually delivered at home or in a home-like setting to persons in the final phases of a terminal illness. It neither hastens nor postpones death, but affirms life, emphasizing quality, not length. Hospice empowers patients to live pain free, alert and dignified, while involving families and loved ones in caregiving. We are proud of our dedicated on-call staff, available 24/7 and we have a fast response time with same day admits. We have low nurse to patient ratios allowing for more personalized care and additional visits when needed. At Mt. Hood Hospice our bottom line is you! Mt. Hood Hospice partners with the We Honor Veterans and Pet Peace of Mind programs to better assist our patients.
