Cat lovers needed mornings in HB

Our group needs cat loving volunteers as a cleaner on THURSDAYS OR FRIDAYS on a weekly basis. Petco has been so generous to offer a safe and comfortable place where cats live full-time while waiting for their forever homes. Our group needs volunteers who can commit to just ONE shift per week (mornings) with an approximate time commitment of 90 mins per shift. The store requires that you arrive no later than 10 am to start. We would love to get a volunteer that can start as soon as possible! Duties include scooping / replacing litter, washing food bowls, sweeping, and engaging in play with the cats and taking photos. Training will be provided once a short volunteer form is completed. Happy cats get adopted much more quickly, and we would love your help in keeping our cats happy! Thanks so much for your interest in our rescue!

Rescue needs event setup/teardown help!

OCSP Cat Rescue is in need of 1-2 long term volunteers to set up and tear down our adoption event each Sunday at Petco during Kitten Season then every other Sunday when kitten season slows. Setup is 10:00 am and tear down is 2:45 pm Event items needs to be brought into Petco from the truck and then setup in the event area. We also accept volunteers under 18, but we cannot train temporary student volunteers strictly to help them complete hours for school. We ask that you choose to be committed to helping with adoptions for a minimum of six months. Thanks so much for your interest in our rescue!

The kennels are super easy to clean - basically scooping / replacing litter, washing food bowls, and giving the cats the chance to stretch and play while you clean. Cat Rescue needs monthly volunteer

OCSP Cat Rescue is in need of a monthly volunteer to care for our Kitty Playhouse at Petco. Our adoptable cats live in a small area that is tidied daily but needs a more thorough cleaning once a month. The monthly cleaning duty includes: Dumping used litter in litter boxes and replacing with clean boxes Wipe down inside and outside of sleeping habitat with provided supplies Clean window glass on habitat and playroom Remove excess fur from cat furniture Sweep and Mop playroom interior Once cleaning is finished, playtime can begin! Cats love a clean environment and happy cats find forever homes! We also accept volunteers under 18, but we cannot train temporary student volunteers strictly to help them complete hours for school. We ask that you choose to be committed to helping with adoptions for a minimum of six months. Thanks so much for your interest in our rescue! Without volunteers our work is not possible!

OCSP is a wonderful organization. Carla is a fantastic leader and I truly valued the time I spent caring for the cats. If you’re unable to have a cat (someone in your house with allergies, etc.), this is a fantastic way to give back your time!

Everyone at OC Small Paws is awesome! They truly care for every cat that crosses their path, and tries their best at finding every little feline's forever home.

This is a great organization with friendly, helpful volunteers. They give good instructions and have reasonable expectations. They treat their cats well and adopt them out when a good match is made. You'd think all rescues are like that but many seem to be run by mad old ladies who will only adopt to people who work from home and have no children. The OC Small Paws volunteers that I've met are very down-to-Earth, and the cats make you feel just as welcome!
