To coordinate and promote the Dam to Dam race, Iowa's Distance Classic is a 20 kilometer race point-to-point USA Track & Field certified distance wth an all-volunteer race committee.

Description

Dam to Dam Iowa's Distance Classic is a 20 kilometer race point-to-point USA Track & Field certified distance. The start is on Saylorville Dam where runners can see downtown Des Moines on the horizon. The 12.4 mile journey takes runners through Iowa's countryside and Des Moines neighborhoods to the finish downtown. Plus a 5K race and Youth runs. Held the Saturday after Memorial Day each year in Des Moines, Iowa
