To provide job opportunities in the food service industry to Texans who are blind or visually impaired, to encourage independent and productive lives.

Description

Texans who are blind or visually impaired and licensed to be a manager in the Business Enterprises of Texas, (BET), apply for food service management or vending machine business within the program. The state obtains these management opportunities which are located in state and federal buildings throughout Texas. These managers are trained and licensed to operate these businesses and are assigned through a selection process.
