Mission Statement

CreateAbilities in the Arts, Inc. (CAA) Advances the value and diversity of artistic expression through but not limited to Dance, Music, Art, Theater, Stage Production, Media and Entertainment. CAA will provide artists with cognitive and physical disabilities the means to participate in both recreational and vocational training amongst the arts and entertainment industries. Creating, Performing, and participating fully, CreateAbilities in the Arts, inc. actively promotes the full employment and accurate portrayal of persons with disabilities in all areas of the media, entertainment, performance and visual arts industry. Educating and advocating to organizations and cultural venues for the employment of people with disabilities as part of cultural diversity and equal employment act.

Description

CreateAbilities believes that all can benefit and be able to empower themselves within the arts whether it be for recreational or vocational rewards. CAA will be community leaders with in the arts and entertainment field for growth and development of those with disabilities, advocating that disability is not a boundary. Art and entertainment is a viable career path regardless of a disability. Creating a nationwide network of advocates both inside and outside of the entertainment and media industries. Eliminate the virtual exclusion and discrimination of persons with disabilities at all levels in the entertainment industry. CreateAbilities in the ARTS will act as a training facility to give real life, onsite training for the potential growth to be fully included in all works of the Art and Entertainment industry.
