Mission Statement
EWB@WSU partners with disadvantaged communities across Northwestern America and around the world to improve quality of life through sustainable, environmental, and economically sound engineering projects, all the while developing an internationally responsible student body. We are a non-profit registered student organization at Washington State University and operate solely on a volunteer-base.
Description
EWB@WSU is a registered student organization at Washington State University created in Semptember of 2004. Through the WSU Foundation, we maintain 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as part of a non-profit corporation under the laws of Washington State, USA. We are currently in the process of becoming a member of Engineers Without Borders - USA. Registration of EWB@WSU is pending on the finalization of paperwork to be presented to the Board of Regents, and ultimately William Farr (Vice President of Engineers Without Borders - USA) in early January 2005. EWB-USA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation created under the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. EWB-USA was created in Fall 2000, and is part of a global network that works with developing communities in resolving particular community identified infrastructure needs.
