Mission Statement

KPTZ 91.9 FM Radio Port Townsend positively contributes to the quality of life in the communities it serves by providing: a community-driven radio service that is educational, entertaining, informative and relevant; an inclusive forum for members of the community to constructively express their ideas, opinions and concerns; a lasting service of high quality in the areas of broadcasting, management, funding and programming; exposure to music, art and culture, issues and current events.

Description

The words "You are listening to 91.9 FM Radio Port Townsend, Eclectic authentic community radio" were first heard over the air at 8:00 a.m. on May 14, 2010.

We are a full-powered FM non-commercial education station, managed and operated by a volunteer staff, made possible by the financial support from our community and a grant from the Federal Public telecommunications facility program to get us on the air.
