Mission Statement

The Milford Prevention Council is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce underage drinking and substance abuse through prevention, education, the support of law enforcement and the strengthening of community collaboration.

Description

Through collaboration with the City of Milford, Milford Health Department, BRIDGES: A Community Support System, Milford Youth and Family Services Department, Milford Police Department and the Milford Board of Education, the Milford Prevention Council members have been researching and educating themselves on issues of substance abuse confronting the community. This organization will serve to galvanize parties from across the community into a "Call to Action" - empowering people from the faith based community to the business community to the education, health and welfare sectors to involve themselves in a "curriculum of care" of our children, youth, adults, and families in need of support.
