Orange County Animal Services is a progressive animal-welfare focused organization that enforces the Orange County Code to protect both citizens and animals.
>Orange County Animal Services is looking for volunteers available Monday through Sunday to join our team! If you are highly motivated, love animals, and have great customer service skills, volunteering is for you! There are many opportunities to help the animals.
I volunteer in the cat area, and we desperately need more volunteers. We are the people who take the animals from their cages, and introduce them to guests, as we help them find the right pets for them. We are a key component in saving the lives of these cats and dogs. It is such a rewarding feeling to how many lives you have helped save at the end of the day.
Also, don't be put off by the hours listed in the original ad. OCAS asks for 8 hours a month. That can be one business day. 1 hour, twice a ween, or two weekend days a month.
I planned to work every other Sunday. At the end of my first day, I told them I'd see them next week. I was hooked! I now go every Sunday, and sometimes an hour or so at the end of a week day.
If you love cats or dogs, this is perfect chance to make a difference in their lives. To save their lives!
As the other reviewer said, Crystal is a wonderful volunteer coordinator!
Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) is an amazing place to work and donate some time, especially if you love animals. I have a few jobs, so it's hard to find time to work here but whenever I'm free, I do.
Everyone here is nice and the orientation process is painless. The feeling you get when you adopt one out to the perfect family, couple or animal-lover is indescribable.
I love working here whenever possible, and you will, too! They are ALWAYS looking for new volunteers and they are short-staffed very often. Crystal is an excellent volunteer coordinator and will work with your schedule :)
