To identify, preserve and promote the wooden boatbuilding heritage of Dorchester County, the Eastern Shore and the surrounding region, including its influence on U.S. maritime history.

Description

A waterman's museum dedicated to the craftsmen and culture of traditional Eastern Shore Boatbuilding. Includes the Boatworks faciliy where the museum fulfills its mission of "putting history on the water" bypassing on the knowledge and skills of boatbuilding and restoration.
