Mission Statement

InvestED is committed to improving the quality of life among needy secondary students in communities throughout the State of Washington, by supporting schools to encourage students to stay in school, return to school or get involved within their learning community.

Description

InvestED provides funding that supports the efforts of secondary schools throughout Washington state. We partner with 660 schools and assist more than 16,500 students each year with small amounts of short-term, item-specific, need-based funding - items such as shoes, coats, glasses, sports equipment, and academic fees.

Our mission is to provide immediate help for students in need. Our goal is to encourage students to stay in school, return to school, or get involved within their learning community.

InvestED is an extraordinary non-profit organization which provides "immediate help for students in need", keeping them on track to graduate by providing them an equal opportunity at a bright and successful future. Volunteering at InvestED is a great way to give back and to make a positive impact on the lives of others. InvestED gave me the opportunity to keep my skills current and learn new software applications while working on projects to support their mission. I met so many wonderful people and formed lasting friendships. InvestED is a stellar place to volunteer and has a fantastic group of fellow volunteers and staff!

This is a very rewarding organization to work for. I have met so many wonderful people through this experience and have learned so much from my position as a volunteer coordinator. Whether you want to gain experience in a specific area, or just help out on special projects, Haas has many meaningful opportunities.
