Mission Statement

Mutual Assistance Network (MAN), Youth Investment Center: is a private non-profit community organization that utilizes the strengths and talents of the residents of Del Paso Heights to carry out its mission: To expand commercial, financial and employment opportunities for the neighborhood residents; To improve physical, public safety, educational, and social conditions in the neighborhood; To stimulate and build self-help with mutual assistance programs that enable residents to work together to achieve good health and successful lives; To promote, conduct and operate any programs, businesses, or other activities necessary to achieve these purposes

Description

The objective of the Youth Investment Center Operation Graduation is to reduce the rate of dropouts, truancy and to help participants be successful students. The program is a collaborative effort between MAN, Grant High School, Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School, and North Avenue Elementary. Operation Graduation includes social activities, seminars, tutoring, and field trips. The Mutual Assistance Network of Del Paso Heights (MAN) is seeking persons to fill the position of Operation Graduation Lead Volunteer. The Operation Graduation Volunteer Mentors are responsible for tutoring and mentoring middle and high school students.
